Today's Fun Fact: The female hummingbird builds the world’s smallest bird’s nest (approximately 1.5 inches in diameter, around the size of a walnut!). She weaves it from spiderwebs which allows it to expand as the chicks grow.

November - Native American Heritage Month
Today we honor Winona LaDuke. LaDuke is Native American activist, environmentalist, and author. She was born August 18, 1959 in Los Angeles, California. An enrolled member of the Ojibwe White Earth Tribe of Minnesota, LaDuke has spent her life advocating for the rights of Indigenous Women, as well as tribal land preservation and sustainable development.
