Mark E. Dean- mark is one of the top engineering minds at IBM. He impacted the world of technology when he and a few friends developed a system that allowed computers to communicate with printers and other devices. Currently mark holds 20 patents for his inventions and was honored as one of the 50 most important African Americans in Technology. So every time you print something, you can thank Mark and his friends!

In A.D. 496, Pope Gelasius I declared February 14 as Valentine's Day. Esther Howland of Massachusetts is given credit for selling the first mass-produced Valentine's Day cards in the 1840s.
