ITA

On December 19, 2024 SoHappy Davids, a representative from the Information Technology Academy (ITA), visited Bowler School to introduce the academy’s college prep and technology program to the 9th-grade class. During the visit, Davids highlighted the numerous opportunities ITA offers for high school students interested in pursuing careers in technology.

ITA, a specialized program designed to provide students with a rigorous curriculum in information technology, aims to equip young learners with the technical skills and academic preparation needed for success in both higher education and the ever-evolving tech industry.

Davids emphasized how the academy provides a unique bridge between high school and college, offering students access to cutting-edge resources, mentorship from UW Madison professionals, and hands-on experience in real-world tech projects. With a strong focus on college preparation, ITA also helps students develop skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork.

The 9th-grade class was engaged and excited about the possibilities ITA offers, with some students expressing interest in applying for the program in the upcoming year. For those with aspirations to pursue a career in technology, the Information Technology Academy represents an invaluable step toward achieving their goals.
